Some time back I added an electronic hour meter. It is now reading over 100 hours.
The line from the meter in the alley to my house was damaged by an ash tree. A good sized root grew up against a PVC slip coupler and forced the joint apart. I as concerned roots were damaging or about to damage the pile elsewhere. Using the Dirt Master I dug a 4 foot deep by 25 foot trench large enough to stand it. In the process several roots of 6 inch diameter were cleared out using a sawzall.
After laying the pipe I embedded it in sand packing around and under the pipe. At this point I have not totally filled in the trench. My front wheel assist is not working. I am waiting on a u-joint for the front axle drive shaft on the Kubota BX2000D. Without front wheel assist the tractor does not dig. On top of that 3 inches of rain have turned the fill dirt to wet clay. So I have been using the Dirt Master to fill the loader bucket.
I removed a significant fraction of the trees roots. I am considering removing the tree.
Once again not having the backhoe tractor mounted enable me to use the BX to move dirt away. Not having the backhoe on the tractor also makes it shorter and easier to maneuver.
My Dirt Master is stored indoors. But the seat has cracked and the rubber boots on the control levers have died.
